Morpheus8® and Morpheus8 Body® are minimally invasive treatments that use radiofrequency microneedling to help improve skin concerns such as acne scarring, laxity, and texture, and to reverse the aging process by stimulating collagen and elastin.
Morpheus8® and Morpheus8 Body® use insulated needles to deliver radiofrequency energy into the skin for epidermal resurfacing and fractional remodeling of subdermal adipose tissue. This creates a controlled wound to the skin, overflows the tissue with the production of new, healthy collagen and elastin, and breaks down fat cells.
It varies depending on the severity of initial cell damage. It is recommended to start with a series of 3-6 treatments of Morpheus8® and Morpheus8 Body®. After your 3-6 treatments, it is recommended that you return 3+ times a year to maintain your results. Results are considered permanent if performed within the recommended time frame your provider has suggested. Still, we will inevitably incur cell damage from internal and external factors.
Results depend on how many treatments are needed to address the severity of initial cell damage. Each treatment helps improve concerns. Over the course of 4-6 weeks after your treatment, you will start to see improvement in skin laxity, scarring, stretch marks, texture, and overall skin health.
After your Morpheus8® or Morpheus8 Body® treatment, you will immediately feel heat radiating from the skin for up to 48 hours. It will feel like you have a bad sunburn in the treated area. It is essential to keep your body temperature down during the healing process. That includes no saunas, hot tubs, sun exposure, or tanning beds for 7-10 days after the procedure. Exercise is not recommended for the first 24-48 hours, and it is advised to keep workouts minimal during the 7-10 days of healing to avoid bacteria interacting with the controlled wound. You will need to keep the area clean with gentle cleansers and ingredients, and keep the skin moisturized. Swelling and bruising can occur depending on the intensity of the treatment. Makeup and sunscreen should be avoided for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
We provide tools to make this treatment as comfortable as possible, including topical anesthetics, anti-inflammatories, and anti-anxiety medications if needed.
