WHAT IS REGENERATIVE MEDICINE / JOINT THERAPY ?

RUMA’s regenerative joint injections deliver a precise dose of healing and regenerative growth factors, steroids, hyaluronic acid, and/or platelet rich fibrin to offer the most innovative and comprehensive approach to joint injections. These injections are aimed to maximize pain relief and enhance joint mobility long term for our patients that are experiencing tightness, achiness, limited range of motion, or joint pain due to arthritis, overuse, trauma, or aging. These regenerative cells have the potential to stimulate the body’s natural healing process to encourage the growth of new tissue.

WHY CHOOSE REGENERATIVE MEDICINE / JOINT THERAPY?

Our Functional Medicine Physician conducts these injections with the latest ultrasound technology to ensure accuracy, efficacy, safety, and enhanced outcome of these procedures. These injections have the potential to boost tissue repair, alleviate inflammation, and stimulate the regeneration of damaged cartilage or connective tissue. The regenerative cells employed in these injections can expedite healing, offer enduring advantages, and potentially impede the advancement of joint deterioration.

FAQS - Wellness

Are joint injections painful?

If you have a fear of needles, let us know. There are comfort measures we are happy to offer prior to your treatment. Generally, inserting the needle is the only part that is uncomfortable. We use a numbing medication and/or a topical spray to help ease the discomfort of the needle. Sometimes, patients can experience some mild discomfort or soreness in the joint after the joint injection, but this is typically resolved after a few days.

When will I feel the results from a joint injection?

Depending on which joint injection is right for you, you will likely experience some discomfort, soreness, and/or swelling. It may take several days to feel the effects of a joint injection. As the medications start to work, you can expect inflammation to lessen, and you should feel the benefits of the treatment.
