Meet Shelby
Founder, DNP, FNP-C
Shelby Miller is the founder of RUMA Medical Aesthetics. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a doctorate degree from Gonzaga University. Shelby is a skilled cosmetic injector and well known in the medical aesthetics industry for producing natural, transformative results. She founded RUMA Academy and has personally educated hundreds of medical providers in the aesthetics community across 30+ states as well as outside the United States in Europe, Mexico, and Canada. Shelby is a national speaker, trainer, and GEN Now faculty member for Galderma as well as a key opinion leader for Allergan Aesthetics, Aesthetics Biomedical, and Sciton. She is proactive, detail-oriented, and constantly trying to learn, grow, and improve her aesthetic skills. Shelby loves working in this industry and has a passion for helping her patients become the best form of themselves.
Meet Dr. Desiree Crane
Functional Wellness Practitioner, DO
Dr. Crane is a board-certified physician and is excited to join RUMA as a Functional Medicine Physician. She began her career in Emergency Medicine and completed sub-specialty fellowship training in wilderness and backcountry medicine at UCSF in 2014.
Recognizing the toll that suboptimal health plays in medical emergencies, she has since found an interest in preventative medicine, holistic wellness, and functional medicine.
Dr. Crane enjoys building close relationships with her patients, listening to their concerns, and establishing a sensible and balanced approach to optimize wellness. She prides herself in her mastery of anatomy, her eye for detail, and her focus on perpetual education. She would love to help you meet your wellness goals.
In her free time, Dr. Crane enjoys honing her backcountry skills, spending time in the garden with her husband, and renovating their 1950s rambler. She’s an expert list-maker, budding private pilot, sourdough novice, and as a true Idahoan, she won’t say no to a good potato.
Her interests include trauma, wilderness medicine, improvised medicine, and building a better first aid kit.
Meet Chrissy Bushell
Provider, MSN, FNP-BC
Chrissy is a board certified family nurse practitioner and a highly skilled aesthetic provider. She began her nursing career as a pediatric nurse at Primary Children’s Hospital then continued her education at Graceland University earning a master’s degree in 2013. Chrissy gained her certification as an aesthetic injector in 2014 from The National Institute of Medical Aesthetics (NIMA) and has been injecting for over 9 years. She currently teaches the comprehensive aesthetic injecting course at NIMA. She is a current member of The American Society for Aesthetics and makes continuing education a priority. She is married with 4 children and enjoys spending time with her family, road/mountain biking, hiking, and traveling. She is passionate about providing safe, high quality, natural-looking results for all of her clients. We are so fortunate to have Chrissy on our team!
Meet Tessa
Provider, RN, BSN
Tessa is an experienced trainer at Ruma Academy. Tessa is an experienced and skilled, certified aesthetic injector. She is caring, detail oriented and passionate about her work. Tessa is an RN and currently in school at the University of Cincinnati to obtain her MSN, FNP-C. She started her nursing career as a pediatric oncology and transplant nurse at Primary Children’s Hospital before working at a plastic surgery office as an aesthetic injector. She believes in the power of prevention in all things health and aging, and maintaining a natural aesthetic and a youthful you. Many patients are concerned that injections will change the way they look, however, when done appropriately they actually maintain and enhance, whereas aging is the true culprit of aesthetic change. Tessa believes in safety above all and takes pride in consistently educating herself and attending national trainings. Tessa has a daughter and outside of work she loves good food and traveling with her husband, family and friends.
Meet Yesenia
Provider, RN, BSN
Yesenia was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and has been a nurse for 6 years. She has worked and gained experience in numerous settings including surgical services at major hospitals in the state. She found her niche and passion in the aesthetic industry when she began training for injectables years ago. She enjoys furthering her knowledge and skills through injection training as often as possible. She believes strongly in training with the best in the industry and always continuing to learn. It is always a top priority of hers to continue providing innovation and great results for clients. When she is not working she enjoys adventuring to new places, traveling to tropical locations, and being a foodie with her husband, daughter, and little Maltipoo Charlie.
Meet Maria
Medical Director/ Provider, RN, BSN
Maria graduated Summa Cum Laude in nursing, and has a passion for advanced continued education and learning. Maria has close to a decade in plastic and cosmetic surgery experience. Maria has worked in collaboration with some of the top cosmetic and plastic surgeons in Utah, and throughout the country. She also has certifications in laser resurfacing, cosmetic injectables, laser hair removal, thermal needling, and more. Maria’s ability to organize, analyze, communicate and administer appropriate skills to problems and devise viable solutions makes her second to none. Maria is a perfectionist and together with patient goals helps exceed patient satisfaction.
In her spare time, Maria loves to golf, fly fish, camp, and loves spending time with her friends and family. Maria loves helping people, and finds happiness assisting them in their natural beauty, both inside and out.

Meet Morgan
Spa Manager/Master Aesthetician
Morgan was born and raised in Utah. She received her Master Esthetics License from the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics and has been practicing in the field for over a year. From a young age, Morgan has taken great interest in health and wellness and believes that healthy skin starts from within. Being able to share her love for skin health treatments, from relaxing to transformative, along with medical grade skin care products is a dream come true. She says “helping others feel beautiful in their own skin is my reason why. I have experienced not feeling confident and I love that I can be a small part of someones journey to confidence. I am extremely honored to be apart of the Aesthetics Team at RUMA and can’t wait to continue my career while building life long connections with my clients.” When Morgan is not at RUMA, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, getting a good workout in, and baking chocolate chip cookies.
Meet Joelle
Master Aesthetician
Joelle was born and raised in Orem, UT. She received her Master Aesthetician License from Acaydia School of Aesthetics in 2019 and has been working in the industry ever since. Growing up she always had a passion for anything makeup, skincare and wellness so, turning her passion into her career has been a dream come true. Her favorite part about being in the industry is helping her clients regain confidence in themselves and building connections with new people. Whether you are coming in for relaxation or a targeted treatment Joelle takes pride in making sure each client has the best experience. When Joelle is not at RUMA, she loves spending time with her husband, running or playing outside with her dog!

Master Aesthetician

Master Aesthetician
Emilee graduated with her Master Aesthetics in 2014 knowing she wanted to be the Medical Aesthetics world. She is passionate about learning the latest technologies in both treatments and skincare products. Emilee loves getting to know her clients, providing them with an always needed self care day or a boost of confidence with results in their skin health journey. When Emilee is not working she loves spending time with her 2 kiddos, 1 fur baby, and planning date nights with her hubby!
Meet Ally
Guest Services Manager
Ally grew up in Utah County. She knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in the aesthetics and skin care industry. She obtained her esthetician license in 2018 and has been working in the field ever since. Ally is a true people person and has the innate ability to make everyone she meets feel like a million bucks! She is also a huge animal lover and lives on a farm with horses, cows, chickens, and her Irish Setter, Darby.
Meet Kailyn

Kailyn was born and raised in a small farm town in Idaho. She moved to Utah in 2019 where she obtained her esthetician license, as that has always been the career field she knew she would go into. She loves helping people feel better about themselves on the inside and out. She is the second child of five in her family and has two nieces that she adores. When she is not at RUMA, she loves spending time outside, playing pickleball, going to the gym, and playing games with her friends.

Annie is the 4th child in a family of 7. She is passionate about health and wellness, placing high priority on fitness as well spending time with her family. Professionally, Annie has worked as a top sales representative at a prominent fitness company in Utah where she received countless accolades and awards for being at the top of the company for sales and customer service. Annie is interested in others and has a gift for remembering details. If there’s anything Annie would want people to know about her it would be that she is genuine.

Emmy grew up in Draper, Utah and loves spending time with her family and friends. She grew up playing golf and violin. She has always had a love for skincare and all things beauty. Emmy got her esthetician license in 2022 and loves learning everything about esthetics and helping people feel beautiful in their skin.

Clinical Manager
Savannah has worked in the Medical Aesthetic industry for over 7 years with experience at various medical spas and facial plastic surgery offices. She has a passion for this industry and loves being a part of our clients’ anti-aging journeys. She is very well educated on the cosmetic procedures offered at RUMA Aesthetics and takes pride in being able to assist our providers in creating beautiful, natural results for every client. Some fun facts about Sav, is that she is a huge outdoor advocate. She loves hiking, boating and fly fishing especially with her cute husband Justin. Meet Elle
Aesthetic Assistant
Elle has been a certified medical assistant for 9 years and has previous experience working in women’s health, dermatology and, plastic surgery. Elle’s favorite thing about working at RUMA is getting to be a part of helping others feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin. She is also a certified nutrition coach, personal trainer, and self-development junkie. In her off time, she loves to spend time with her husband, create youtube fitness videos, and eat delicious food!
Meet Taylor U.
Aesthetic Assistant
Taylor otherwise known as “Tayy” was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. She graduated from Ameritech College of Healthcare with her Associates Degree and a major in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in Surgical Transplant, Reproductive Medicine and Pediatrics over the course of her medical career. She has always expressed an interest in the aesthetic and beauty industry and is excited to pursue her dreams working at RUMA. She loves helping people become the best versions of themselves and is always keeping a smile on her patient’s faces. In Tayy’s spare time she likes riding her dirt bike, driving her truck, cooking, playing with her dog “Legend” and learning how to tattoo.
Meet Olivia
Aesthetic Assistant
Olivia was born and raised in California. She is a full time student at Utah Valley University. Olivia has worked in the aesthetics industry for three years and loves being able to play a small role in helping somebody feel more confident inside and out. When she is not working or in school she loves to snowboard, pickle ball, wakeboard, and spend time with her family (especially her nieces and nephews). She’s still trying to fall in love with the cold winters but the people in Utah make it worth the move. A few of her favorite things about working at RUMA are the work culture and the education each provider goes through to provide the best care for their patients.
Meet Paige
Aesthetic Assistant
Paige has been a medical assistant for the past 3 years and has previous experience working at a family practice that specialized in functional medicine. Paige finds joy in helping others find success in their overall health and wellness. She is also a fitness instructor and spends a lot of time helping others build confidence and find joy with fitness. When Paige isn’t working, she loves to spend time with her husband, being outdoors, and constantly seeks new hobbies.
Meet Jaime
Practice Manager
Jaime has spent the last eight years in dental management where she specialized in operations, integration, branding and human resources. Jaime has a passion for exceptional patient care and she loves growing teams and practices. She grew up in Portland, Oregon but studied Hospitality Management at BYU Hawaii and Utah Valley University. Recently her family relocated back to Utah and she is so excited to join the Ruma team. While she is not at work, she loves to be with her husband and four children, three boys and finally a girl! Jaime loves to be outside in the sun, whether at a beach, lake, boating or hiking.

PR
Brittany has been in the beauty industry for the past 16 years. She loves being part of the journey to empowering women to feel beautiful in their own skin! She has lived in Georgia, Michigan and has called Utah her home for the past 25 years. In middle school she played soccer, basketball and volleyball. But in high school she found her passion to dance and joined the cheer squad and drill team! She graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelors degree in Communications! She met her husband 16 years ago and they have been married for 11 years last August! When she is not at work she is creating memories with her 4 kiddos! She loves high fitness, dancing, working out, interior design, event planning, hiking, traveling and experiencing different cultures!

Sarah has been working for over a decade in marketing and PR. She has a love for learning and obtained her undergrad in Communications from Westminster College and her Master’s Degree from Georgetown University in Integrated Marketing. She volunteers her time with the Miss America Org. and spends her free time with her daughter or at the gym.

She loves creating content that highlights the elevated experience and amazing providers at RUMA! In Madie’s spare time she loves traveling, spending time with her family and playing with her cat “Russia”.

Taylor grew up in North Carolina and moved to Utah when she was 12 years old. She has been doing marketing/photography since she was 14 years old. She has experience working in the dental industry, where she ran a pediatric office for about 3 years. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, camping, taking film photos, going to concerts and spending time with her family!
